I ordered this bad boy and was quite happy, it had a built in spirit level, can’t mount that wonky.
Drilled a hole, slapped one of the provided wall plugs in and screwed in one of the bolts to hold the mounting plate against the wall. Tightened it up so I could mark out the other holes and used the built in spirit level to get it nice and straight n level. The plate looked out, so I dug out a spirit level and placed it on, to find it slightly out. I dug out another spirit level and this showed one end of the plate was slightly higher.
At this point, I put trust into my mighty 60cm spirit level, used it for all my kitchen cupboards and all the shelves in my house and they are all as level as a world final snooker table. Wall mount went up, plonked the tv on and all was nice and level.
At this point, I took off the tv and took off the built in spirit level and turned it around and put the little blighter back on. Now the spirit level was saying my wall mount was horizontal. Moral of this rather boring story is don’t trust the built in spirit level if you want a tv to look as awesome as mine on the wall.
If you want a low profile wall mount, look else where, but I like the way I can use any old lead with out having to bend it 90 degrees due to the wall being so close.
Took a star off for the dodgy spirit level, I was quite put out by having to go to my shed and root out my spirit levels. I had to battle with cobwebs and risk the nagging from my wife about doing the lawn while I was in there………….

1. This is a relatively slimline mount: without spacers the distance from the wall to the back of the TV is approximately 30mm. The specifications ought to tell you this.
2. I used the 20mm spacers so that the nominal distance from the wall to the back of the TV is just less than 50mm (2 inches). The back of the PC is far from flat and some parts – like the bit at the bottom with the speakers in – are closer than this at about 40mm.
3. The VESA points on the TXP42G20 are slightly recessed so you have to use spacers to stop the mounting arms bending the back cover of the TV. Also, no need for any of the supplied arm extensions with this TV.
4. I was thinking of cutting the supplied plastic spacers to get a closer fit but decided against it in order to make organizing the aerial and satellite connections easier.
5. On many other TVs you’ll may well need to use spacers if the ports you need access to are not angled downwards or sideways.
6. The six mounting screws and plugs did an excellent job into the Celcon/Thermalite insulation blocks my wall is constructed from.
Verdict: very sturdy, perfect for the job and excellent value for money

The only reason up to now I’ve only wall mounted one of our televisions is simply because of the cost; back when I bought one (larger than this) I was quite shocked at the price of the bracket and almost didn’t bother. So the low price of this Amazon bracket is fantastic from the off and I can assure you that you’re not losing quality either; it’s heavy and robust.
Fixing it to the wall’s easy and it’s actually made even easier by having a small spirit level built in. This might not have been such a problem with this smaller bracket and with a 26″ TV, but when fitting a larger one using a full-size spirit level was quite tricky, even with two of us, so it’s still a nice touch.
Overall I can’t fault this streamline bracket from Amazon. Top product.
