This is a genuine Samsung case and is well made.
When the phone is in the case most of the back of the phone is not covered by the case. With the case fitted however if you put the phone down on a desk the original phone backing is raised very slightly above the desk surface by the rim of the case so should help to avoid any scratches to the back of the phone.
The case adds a rubber/plastic surround around the rim of the phone which would afford some protection if the phone was dropped.
The flap which covers the screen swings free but if like me you put your phone in a desk draw face up then the flap lies perfectly flat on the screen and protects it quite well. It also protects the screen whilst in you pocket.
The case adds very little bulk to the phone. One thing I didn’t immediately notice was it has two dummy buttons of the same shape and size as are on the edge of the S2 and these dummy buttons extend the original buttons out to the edge of the case. Without these the original buttons would be inaccessible, but this is neatly done.
I ordered a black case which matches the phone perfectly.
Overall it’s a very good case and I would recommend it.

I like everything about this case except one key feature – the cover doesn’t stay closed. Sure if you leave the phone flat on a table, the case covers the screen. But I wanted to protect my phone when I’m carrying it in my handbag from keys etc. Also if I were to drop the phone, the cover could flip open and, for me, defeat it’s purpose of protecting the screen. A small magnetic close would have solved this and was a definite design error in my opinion. Apart from that, I love the look, feel and slim style of this cover. Just note that the lime coloured one is more of yellowy lime rather than greeny lime.

Advantages: – Slim design, doesn’t add noticeable weight to the phone – All cut-outs fit perfectly, and the volume rocker and power switch covers work well – Colours look amazing (I have the orange/white one) – Back of case is slightly raised, preventing the back/camera from touching a flat surface – Screen cover feels well made, and the cut out at the bottom makes charging very easy – The bumper protects all edges and sides of the phone
Disadvantages: – There’s only really one major flaw with this product, and that is that there’s no magnetic system to hold the front flap in place over your screen. It is a small feature they could have easily added to the case, and I find the flap to be opening at times I don’t want it to. Also, if you were to drop the phone it could easily open up in mid-air, leaving your screen vulnerable to the impact.
Things you can’t see in the pictures: – The front flap is made of a thin, artificial leather texture, and the side that touches the screen is a soft rubber material – The bumper around the front of the phone is a grippy rubber material which allows for secure holding
