The Samsung S3 is a pretty good looking phone, but it is quite slippery, very thin and, since it’s made of hard plastic, potentially easy to damage. Cue the search for a case for my newly arrived phone. To be honest, not knowing much about what was on offer, I just banged in an order for this product to tide me over until I found something decent. At this price, what’s to loose?
Well, my search is over before it started. This product is excellent! It fits the phone perfectly, protects it very well, makes it nicely tactile and actually improves the look of the pebble blue S3 massively. You can see the design in the photo, but it doesn’t do justice to how nice it looks when fitted. Viewing from the front, there’s a quality glossy black sheen around the edge that nicely matches the black of the screen when it’s off (which is most of the time of course). The back has a pleasing contrasting matt and gloss ‘S’ shape (for Samsung?). Down both sides is a knurled pattern that is very helpful when picking the phone up or getting it out of a pocket. I really do feel more confident I won’t drop the phone when holding it.
From a practical perspective, the case is very secure – easy to remove by stretching, but will never come off by itself. The bezel is slightly raised on the front so, if you put your phone face down, the screen does not touch the surface. All the ports are easily accessible with no problem attaching connectors. The only very minor downside I can see is that the location of the volume rocker and screen/power button (left and right side respectively) become difficult to detect by feel alone since they are pretty flush with the sides of the case. For me this is not really a problem since I don’t tend to use these buttons very often.
Also included is a stick on screen protector with small cleaning cloth. I wasn’t going to bother applying this, but in the end I did. It’s pretty easy to apply, is completely invisible and completes the phone protection. It doesn’t seem to affect the functionality of the touch screen either.
Over all, I think this case makes the S3 more “balanced” – it feels too thin without it. Another plus is I can actually pick the thing up and get it out of my pocket easily now.

Genuinely can’t understand any serious negatives about this, especially for the price. Has a great feel, especially the ‘matte effect’ side of the ‘S’. All the holes and bumps are in exactly the right place, it fits perfectly and goes on easily enough but so far shows no signs of coming off at all. Because it fits around the front edges of the phone this means you can put it face down and the screen won’t touch the tabletop. It even has a great little grip down the sides which really makes the phone feel secure.
Add to this the price, the fact it comes with a free screen protector and wiping cloth, and fast delivery, you should just buy it!

I just needed a cheap case for my S3 and this does the job perfectly. It fits well and everything is easily accessible. It has a really nice texture too and an appealing aesthetic design. It’s thin enough to not make the handset bulky, but also thick enough to give it some protection. Screen protector is fine too, 5/5 Definitely recommended 🙂
