I already had a HTC dual charge docking station for my earlier HTC Desire so when I purchased my new Galaxy S II phone, it was a natural progression to get the same design flexible charger for my spare battery and phone. As the supplied lead was unreasonably short to reach the mains socket to the side of my bedside table, I used the HTC charge lead that was about 4 feet long ( 61 cm )which is perfect for my needs. There are two ports at the back of the charger – use the charger port for doing the phone and battery together. ( symbol = lightening bolt ). The other port enables you to sync the phone to your laptop for large data transfers. Otherwise, you can sync using wifi or blue tooth or using the Samsung Kies Air application in the phone. For £9, it’s unbeatable value. You need to slip the phone out of its protective silicon case to slide into the dock, either with a standard battery or the Samsung Extended 2000 mAh battery that I have since fitted. When you wake up next morning, your phone is 100 % ready to go. No running out of charge unexpectedly. The spare battery I keep in my wallet as a back up. No reason not to get this kit – do it!

Just received this docking charger with the additional slot to charge my spare battery. I would have given this item 5 stars but for the lack of instructions (which way the spare battery slotted in) and for the fact – although I had worked it out by the online picture, that only a USB connector is supplied. I have since purchased an adaptor to allow the unit to be plugged directly to the mains. All in all though a good product.

Charged the phone and battery twice. Does what it says on the tin. Happy purchase. 4 stars as I feel it should come with it’s own cables.
