Up until now I tried different chargers that I can use with my phone while I use it as a sat nav (which draws current like nobody’s business) but with no success. Even my Nokia one was not giving out enough juice to charge the phone while using the sat nav app. With this one it is no longer an isse, finally! I am so pleased that I will buy one that I can leave with my bike just in case I need some navigation on that.
For this price I dont think that you can find a better in-car charge for your s2.

If you are looking for a car charger and if you read some of the reviews in amazon, you will find all sort of conflicting statements about how one car charger is great for some and perhaps not so great for others. And all the can be valid reviews (not just competitor slagging off each other). The problem is finding a charger that works on your device.
My criteria is simple. It must charge my android phone and it must charge it sufficiently fast such that I can operate the satnav at the same time. For an android phone, the output voltage (5V) and the supplied current (0.75-1.5A) is only part of the story. The android device must identify the charger as an AC charger an not a USB charger. If the android phone identify the charger as an USB charger, it will only draw a very low current (regardless of the current rating of the charger itself), and this low current is NOT sufficient to charge the phone and have the satnav on at the same time.
So, this is where this samsung charger comes in. I do not have a samsung phone. Instead I’ve a budget huawei ascend g300 android phone and a nokia n8. And for both of these devices, this charger works like a dream. Plug the charger in to my android phone and the phone identify the charger as an AC charger. And I can happily use the Google Navigation and charge the phone at the same time.
As for the charger’s external construction, there isn’t much to say. It is plastic, very well made, no sharp edges or loose fittings. The cable itself is sufficiently long, and at the other end is a mico usb adapter. There is a green LED light on the top of the charger. When you plug the charger into the cigarette lighter slot, the LED light will not come on. When you also connect your phone, then the LED will light up, indicating that the charger is now active. It is good that the charger is not unnecessarily active when no phone is connected to it. Also, there is the word SAMSUNG embossed onto the charger itself, but from that itself, I can’t really tell if it actual samsung original product or just a well made copy.

Theres not a lot to say about a car charger except that this item is of good quality and it charges my Galaxy S2 as it should. The ‘cable’ is long enough and the design is good too. I would recommend this charger for anyone on the lookout for a Samsung charger for their car.
