.. when you designed this? Thought I’d treat myself to a “proper” stylus for my S3 after having used cheapo ones for a few weeks. So convinced was I that my whole life experience would subsequently be improved beyond measure that I didn’t even bother checking the other reviews.

Had I done so of course, I’d have avoided buying a pen (8 times the price of the one I was using) that didn’t actually work with the S3. Main screen use is passable, although pressure to get buttons to work is a bit concerning, but not designing it to work with the capacitive soft buttons on the bottom of the phone is simply beyond the ability of my simple mind to comprehend (even more so considering that the cheapo one worked fine).

    Bad Samsung!

The stylus is fairly pointless as it does not work with the capacitative buttons below the screen. This means that to navigate, etc you have to keep switching between the stylus and a finger. Renders the C Pen useless.

The price of the pen has come down since its launch (about 20 pounds). I don’t know if there are also fakes circulating around. Firstly, the pen is very well built with a good quality finish. It is properly weighted so that it naturally presses down on the screen without you having to apply force. With the latest software update on the S3, I found that even the lightest touch would get a response on the screen. There is a bit of lag from the S3 if you draw faster strokes. I like the fact the nib is firm than some of the spongey designs for which it is hard to tell exactly where you are pressing. Naturally the pen is a bit more restricted than conventional capacitive designs as it only works with this phone (but perhaps S4/S5 as well). For handwriting notes or drawing, I think this pen is top quality and very useful.
