When I ordered this Android Computer for 30 pounds I half expected it not to work. However I can report that it works fine. You do need to buy a 2 AMP USB Changer, most USB chargers are less than 1 AMP such as Kindle charger. Also you need to buy a wireless keyboard and mouse.

The first thing I had to do was change the setting to English UK. You do need to download Flash Player and BBC Media Player from the Google Play Store which involves setting up a google account. Once BBC Media Player is installed BBC IPlayer work OK.

My wifi router is downstairs. The Android mini computer is plugged into a TV upstairs. The wifi signal travels about 10 feet through a floor without any problems.

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this device as there were few reviews on the Internet, but I thought I would give it ago. I got home last night to find that the Mini Android 4.0 Google TV was waiting for me, not bad as I had only ordered two days before. I opened up the jiffy bag to be presented with a nice little Green Box containing the device, a USB Cable needed to power the device from a USB Adaptor and a set of basic instructions. I quickly found a keyboard, mouse and a USB Hub, hooked it up to my Sony 32 Inch LCD and used a 2 Amp USB Adaptor I had Purchased at the same time. Within less than a Minute the whole thing was up and going running Android 4.0.4. I connected the device to my Wireless Network (very easy and straight forward), navigated to the Play Store, entered my Google account details and before it knew it I was downloading half a dozen applications. I must have spent a good 3 hours having a play with this little marvel and all in all I am very impressed. I even have my Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Mouse connected to the device, it recognised the hardware instantly. I have also mounted an 8GB SD Card and it plays movies straight for the card. I connected the device to my NAS Drive and it streams Movies beautifully. It even plays BBC iPlayer. So if you want to buy a computer for less than £30 Pounds look no further, all you need to do is add the 2 Amp USB Adaptor to give you enough Power, this cost me £6.95, all the other bits I had hanging around.

Here is the adaptor I purchased and so far does what it is supposed to do

BulletPower Black Dual USB 2A / 10w (fast) Heavy Duty Ouput MAINS Power Adapter Charger Plug ideal for Tablets, MP4/3 Players, iPods, iPhone 4S, iPhone 3G, Apple iPad, Mobile Phones, Androids, Kindle, Tomtom, Navman, Blackberry, Samsung, HTC and Digital…

Bought this as it was cheap, not really knowing how good it would be. Using my PS3 to watch videos over the network every day means running a fairly high power device all the time so decided that I needed something small, discreet and low powered. This device fits the bill perfectly, slotting into the back of my TV and only using 10watts of power, if that. Connected to the Virgin wireless N router with no problems at all. Has so far played MP4 files from my media server which is tucked away upstairs and Youtube that automatically runs the HD version of a video so looks great on the 40″ screen. Just need to get myself a wireless keyboard/mouse as the one I had stashed away was dead so using a cabled trackball.
