I bought the fusion 5 extra for my daughter and was so impressed, I thought I would buy one myself but a more inexpensive one.

I read the review and also sent an email to A1CS to query what this can do as the product description is quite vague. They responded to say it may be best to hang on as they are launching a new product.

However, I decided this one might just do so I sent for it.

I am so glad I did, its fantastic and has everything I want. The items I wanted that weren’t on it I have downloaded easily and its working perfectly. The graphics are fabulous… It is worth so much more than I paid for it. I love it, thank you A1CS.

    UPDATE

I have now had this a short time and how downloaded aldiko & kindle and now have books on my shelves. Everything has downloaded perfectly and it is still working brilliantly. I am so over the moon with this ‘budget’ version. Have now sent for a memory card….

Best value, great company, 24 Aug 2012

This review is from: A1CS FUSION5 ECONOMY Tablet PC – 8″ screen – Android 4.0 ICS – DUAL CAMERA – SLIM -5 POINT TOUCH SCREEN – SUPPORTS IPLAYER, KINDLE

I was looking for a tablet I could use for work, as well as getting a little ‘me time’ with it.
I take a lot of photos so needed a rear facing camera, I need to be able to take notes and make documents etc…
I also had no intention of spending £100s on a device which will only be worth £5 in 9 months, and I find the 10″ tablets too big. If I want to carry around something that size I have a laptop. I need a light portable device that fits into my hand, with a screen large enough to be useful.
Also I don’t tweet, do facebook or need it for games; I need a hard core work machine.
I decided on a 7″ dual camera, capacitance screen, Ice cream Sandwich tablet for under £100.
As I don’t live in China or the US, I found this nearly impossible to find, then I spotted the A1CS FUSION5 ECONOMY Tablet PC – 8″ screen – Android 4.0 ICS – DUAL CAMERA – SLIM -5 POINT TOUCH SCREEN – SUPPORTS IPLAYER, KINDLE tablet, everything I want and just half an inch wider than my optimum size.
Of course I felt that this was too good to be true, and the tablet was probably rubbish, but then I read the reviews on the company and realised that if it was `rubbish’ I would get a no quibble refund and my postage back.
So this was a no brainier, buy & try.

It arrived within 2 days, impressive already. Packed in a jiffy bag, but inside the jiffy bag was a sturdy padded box, after all the complaints about Amazon over packing, this was a welcome change.

Charged it up, booted it and it worked perfectly, SD card mounted [just ram home with a fingernail] ; Wifi set up in about 20 seconds, Google chrome as a Browser, quick easy and fast ; BBC Iplayer and you tube worked fine with no tweaks or downloads ; quick office downloaded ; some music transferred from my PC ; Tried the rear facing camera took 1 picture, played with it tried to take another…Arrgghh……. message flashed up `the camera has stopped working’.
    Tried updating, websearch for a fix…..nothing, so I e-mailed A1CS asking for a fix.

I got a reply the next day, please send it back…..I would have preferred them to mail me a fix, but off it went.

2 days later I received a brand new tablet, looked twice as nice as the first one, this was a generic `Mid’ tablet which did everything better than the first one [which was impressive enough]. Came with mini usb to female, mini usb to male, mic jack to usb, screen protector and charger.
Lovely finish, sturdy, nice weight, looks and feels like a £200 job instead of a £70 cheapie. Only 2 external buttons; on – off, and a volume rocker switch. 5 ports, charger, mini usb, mic, sd card & headphones. this gives it a smooth seamless appearance, even a hint of elegance.

Screen: smooth & responsive scrolling, responds as well as any I pad I have used. If you put excessive pressure on the back, you will get some ripples on the front, but I have found that with most tablets due to the thinness.

PC interface: Just plug and play, plug it in a usb port and it automatically acts just like an external hard drive. SD card is also plug & play.
Browsing: Fast [still using Google chrome] downloads are fast, no internet issues found. You tube plays like a dream, no lip synch issues. BBC Iplayer wouldn’t play, until I tapped `request desktop site’. This is common with a lot of sites which `read’ this tablet as a mobile and will go straight to their mobile landing site, with the `request desktop site’ you browse just like from a PC. So no slow WiFi with this baby. The handwriting option is pretty cool, as is voice search.

    Camara:
    Both are centrally mounted.
The rear camera now works fine, good resolution and a nice zoom facility with a varity of exposure settings and lighting options, using it a video recorder surprised me, it is very, very good.
The front camera again is excellent, when live there is some motion delay but this disappears when played back.
One issue here, the cameras are both reverse angle so do take some getting used to.
Battery: I get 4 hours, that’s a mix of watching videos, browsing and just messing around. There is a `dim’ button on the home screen which cuts down on screen brightness to save power, I haven’t used it [just tested it] for any length of time to see how effective it is. OK I am getting 7.5 hours now that’s nearly a full days work without a recharge…..impressive.
Keyboard: pops up when needed, responsive & easy to use.
Navigation, location, e-mail etc…. everything is as perfect as it could be. I am beginning to think this thing is psychic as whenever I need an app, it appears to be already installed and working!

Downside: Is it just me? I cannot turn the music player off, so if I want my music to stop I can pause it [and leave the app running] or I have to kill the app, or it…

The company is really really good fantastic customer service at first I could not get my device to be recognised on Google play. quick email and straight back to me and user error not machine. Really impressed with the tablet and the company and will deffinately keep this company as a favourite. Downloads find graphics great what more can I say.
