Protects the phone but not brilliantly designed, 22 July 2011

Can’t believe I’m reviewing a phone case. But…here goes:
I bought this after having to pay what seemed like far too much to have a cracked screen fixed and at first I was relatively happy with it since the phone now felt secure and indeed when I dropped it the next day all was well and I wasn’t even worried. However, there are a few things that are far from ideal with this case:
1- As another reviewer has pointed out, theplastic around the volume controls is flimsy and mine has also broken.
2- Not only does the case have to be open if you want to charge the phone but you also have to have the top clip open if you want to plug in your headphones. Not a huge inconvenience but this does add to the overall feeling that this is a hastely designed product.
3- There is nowhere for the front protective cover to be clipped away whilst you’re using the phone so you always have a black fake leather rectangle swaying about. If it could be folded and secured to the back of the case this would be a decent case but it gets annoying to have to have the surface area of an already large device in effect doubled.

Case looks nice, quality finish and fits the phone perfectly. BUT there is no hole for the charger/micro usb plug, so u have to open the case to use it. While it’s not the big problem i would probably buy a different one if i knew that before.

No problem with the leather or magnetic clasp. The problem is with the plastic that retains the phone. It is extremely brittle. I have have had the case less than 6 weeks and now the plastic has completely broken off and the phone is no longer retained. I have not thrown the case around either.

|Good case but without usb/charger hole.,
