The case is much better than I expected. Very good quality and fits really tight and snug – not much chance of the phone accidentally popping out. It’s way better than the loose-fitting ‘xqisit’ case I bought on the high street which cost £10. It also doesn’t add as much bulk to the already big S3, which is another good thing.

The only slight negatives I’ve found are that the strap loop on the underside protrudes enough so the phone doesn’t sit flush on a flat surface while typing. And the cut-out for the usb is marginal depending on the usb cable – but that’s more to do with the cheap On-The-Go cables I use. All the Samsung cables fit no problem including the MHL/HDTV adapter.

All things considered, highly recommended and definitely worth a punt at £2.95 inc postage, you can’t go wrong. It’s way better than some far more expensive cases. Buy it as a back-up and you might prefer it to your current one. The delivery was super-speedy which is always appreciated – top marks to the seller. Four and half stars (9/10).

The screen protector is disappointing. I don’t think it quite covers the width of the phone well enough; and the bottom of it stops across the middle of the menu and back buttons, which looks particularly bad when the buttons are illuminated. It’s a shame to spoil the design of the phone in this way.

Also, I applied the screen protector successfully – no dust, no bubbles, etc. – but nevertheless the top edge has has two small patches that are simply not sticky, so the protector is peeling off slightly already. If you get a good screen protector, I don’t think there’s any reason why it should ever peel off.

Finally, grease from your fingers causes a ‘rainbow’ effect on the screen. Again – why would you pay for an amazing phone screen, only to use a cheap screen protector that spoils the quality? I’m pretty sure that better screen protectors don’t suffer this problem.

The vinyl case is fine. The power/lock button is a bit hard to press through it though, which is mildly annoying. It’s quite hard plasticy material; I’m wondering if a softer more rubbery case might be better.

The sock looks okay, and the stylus looks okay – but I won’t use either of these.

I will have to replace this product with a new one. I needed something to protect the phone, but I should have spent a bit more and not bothered with the cheap sock/case/protector/stylus package (I didn’t even expect there to be a stylus at all!).
