I ordered this battery from amazon when they had stock a short while ago , it cost me approx £25 and was delivered quickly and wrapped in the usual brown amazon wrapping they use .
The battery itself came in the genuine samsung box and the battery is 110% genuine so dont worry about that when ordering this great item.
The sgs2 1650mah battery that comes with the phone doesnt do too bad a job and is quite a big battery anyway , however the sgs2 is a very powerfull phone and for me an even bigger battery was a no brainer
2000mah is quite some juice , i think it is one of the biggest batterys avalible in a smartphone today as it goes especially in phones with a screen size of 4.3″ and smaller
so in the bix you get the battery , a new back cover and thats about it . The new back cover is needed because the 2000mah battery is a bit thicker and the old battery cover wont fit . Dont worry this is a genuine samsung product and the new back cover is still a very high quality and on the black model it is also a textured battery cover just like the original
The 2000mah battery is a bit heavier then the 1650mah battery and this can be noticed in the hand when both batterys are held , also the new 2000mah battery is obvously a tad thicker hence the extra back cover
now because the phone has slightly different dimensions you will find that ”tight fitting” cases may not work/fit your sgs2 now , the neo hybrid cases still fit with this 2000mah battery but cases like ”casemate barely there” or ”casemate tough” wont fit the new 2000mah battery and back cover
Moving onto the most important bit , is it worth buying? does it add much more juice?? put simply yes to both them questions
The battery does add a noticeable increase to screen on time and useage time . I use a custom rom , kernel etc etc and this battery and my set up is just awesome . My phone is lasting ages , obvously with intensive gaming etc it can still be killed but you will still see an increase in time over the 1650mah stock battery
I loved the battery so much i bought another and a genuine samsung desktop battery charger , i now can have :
1x fully charged 2000mah battery in my phone being used 1x 2000mah battery in my desktop charger waiting to be swapped when needed
this is perfect for me and means i never have to wait for a battery to charge and always have a high mah battery in my phone to give me maximum useage time , the sgs2 takes ages to charge so its so nice not to have to wait about for my phone to beep at me
i would recomend this item to anyone interested in better battery life for the sgs2 it does make the phone a tad heavier and a tad thicker but nothing major and fo the extra juice it is worth it
dont forget the sgp neo hybrid case fits the 2000mah battery and back cover as well which is a bit of a bonus

Unfortunately I couldn’t get this from Amazon as they didn’t stock it at the time I was looking for an extended battery, however I did manage to get one from elsewhere.
However I’ll give you a quick rundown (no pun intended!) of my experiences of it.
This is a 2000mah battery that will give you about an extra 3hrs of use, but I tend to think you will need to do some serious chatting, texting, web surfing & video watching to get through it in a day.
Obviously you get the battery which slots in just as the stock (OEM) battery does, the difference being that this battery is slightly thicker that the OEM one, so Samsung provide a new back cover as the one that comes with the phone will no longer fit.
Once fitted & with the new back cover back on the phone & I would recommend that you do this in the evening before bed or when you’re not going to need the phone for a good long time, pop it on charge and leave it to charge for a good 12hrs, preferably overnight and you’ll get a really good solid initial charge into it.
Once fully charged you’ll find that the battery life indicator will hardly move (if at all) for quite sometime. I use my phone for upto 12hrs a day and if it drops below 60% charge in that time then I’m amazed.
Do be aware that this battery will need a few charges to really get into top form, so if it does lose charge quickly initially, you’ll find that it will soon find it will stop doing it and keep the power levels high.
One important thing to note is that if you have a very tight fitting case, such as the Case-Mate Tough Case, IT WILL NOT FIT with the extended battery fitted, I know I tried it, so if you buy this you may need to change your case!
All in all, I’m very happy with this battery and it’s worth the extra cash.

Good points: Definitely lasts longer than standard (1650ma) battery. I take the phone off charge around 7am during the week and it’s still got enough charge (20%) when I connect it to the charger around 11pm. So that’s 80% drop in 16 hours. The original would need a boost around 8pm. The upshot of course is because the battery lasts longer, I use the phone more.
The battery is slightly heavier but coupled with the new battery back, this gives the phone a better balance. It should have been supplied as standard.
Bad(ish) points: I have a white phone and the replacement back is a slightly different shade of white. It’s only noticeable in some lighting conditions. The phone is a creamy white, the back is more ivory.
Delivery: Product arrived a day early!
