Not being able to find a USB OTG labelled as working with the Nexus 7 tablet, I bought one of these (after a previous one I bought did not work). it was delivered quicker than I thought it would be for such a cheap product, and I was pleasantly surprised when it worked without any hassles on my Nexus 7 tablet and Galaxy Nexus phone.
I can confirm that the following work with this Adapter –
– USB Keyboard plugged into Adapter – USB mouse plugged into Adapter – USB mouse and USB keyboard plugged into (self powered) USB HUB, and HUB plugged into adapter – USB Memory Stick (pendrive as some call them) as long as the Nexus 7 and Google Nexus are ROOTED and have a utility called StickMount installed (from Google Play Store) – IOGEAR GKM561R 2.4GHz Multimedia Keyboard with Laser Trackball and Scroll Wheel (available on Amazon). This connects via a USB Dongle which plugs into the USB OTG Adapter. The Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus both detected the keyboard and mouse without a problem
Very happy with this purchase, and have already recommended it to 2 friends who are also going to buy one each.

Paired with my Samsung Galaxy S II, this cable fits the phone firmly. The plastic mould and cable itself look and feel high quality.
I’ve tried it with a Flash-based USB Mass Storage device (4GB, formatted as FAT32 as is conventional), upon insertion the phone displays a “USB device connected” notification, mounts the drive at /sdcard/usbStorage/sda and runs the MediaScanner to update your library databases.
In my tests so far the USB host controller is quite fast – sustaining 11MB/s read from my USB Flash disk. No doubt it is my flash disk that is the limiting factor.
Also tested with a 20GB external 2.5″ HDD (again FAT32) without issue.
Not tried: USB hubs, keyboards, mice, SD card readers, composite device (i.e. 5-in-1 card readers).

Works perfectly with my rooted Nexus 7. It connect with no problem with my memory sticks (16GB) and external drives (1, 2 and 3TB). Highly recommended.
