Decided to get this headset over the wireless one because I have tried the wireless one and it won’t fit my ear properly and fall out. This headset is perfect and I have no problems with it what so ever.

Virtually everyone who owns an Xbox will use it for online gaming, and as a result you’re going to have friends to talk to while gaming (or even complete strangers if you join an open game)….This headset it the same as the one you get with your Xbox console if your were to buy one now. It’s very simple and has 1 earphone with a loop over your head to keep the headset where it should. The microphone is a good one and found on the arm which can be moved and bend to suit whatever position you desire…but because the microphone can be swung in both directions, you can use the headset either on your left or right side. It’s cheap but works and does an excellent job.
You connect the headset to your controller which is where it draws it’s power and there is a control block half way down the cable to which you can mute your conversation or increase or decrease the volume.
Going back a few years i used the original white version and at the time thought it was rubbish… i considered a blutooth headset but many people and friends at the time advised me not to get one. Then i saw the Turtle Beach Headset : Ear Force PX21 (PS3) on offer at HMV, so i took the plunge and bought them because of the surround sound audio and over the ear experience which i can confirm is AWESOME!! However, switching them between my Xbox, PS3 and PC became a pain in the a** especially with the wires around the back of the TV and after a while i started to use my standard Xbox headset again which i got with the gears of war 3 console (and is identical to this product).
PROS: simple, cheap but very usable with good quality audio and the microphone picks everything up rather well, can be worn left or right ear, volume and mute control is handy!
CONS: perhaps the over head strap is on the cheap side but it lasts and does the job…what to you expect for the money?
VERDICT: It’s an essential part of gaming online with the Xbox and does everything you could want, if you lost your original then this for you, equally they’re good to have around the house as spares in case you have friends round for those gaming night in!

Mic works perfectly, just has grey on it instead of black, description isn’t correct, but it works and thats all that matters.
