Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme(What’s this?)
The cover itself is very good and not only will it protect your Kindle Fire but it’s also very stylish and functions well as it stands so you don’t have to hold it all the time (as long as you have a desk or a table). However, before you place your order, make sure you have the right Kindle model. This cover is designed for the Kindle Fire, but NOT for the latest Kindle Fire HD model. If you’re looking for the one for HD, there is another cover specially designed for it, such as this one: Marware MicroShell Folio Cover Lightweight for Kindle Fire HD, Black (will only fit Kindle Fire HD).
It will make a good present if someone who you might want to give it to already has a Kindle Fire, but even if he/she hasn’t got one yet, you could still give him/her the Kindle AND this cover?
This Kindle model is no longer just for reading e-books, but for many more functions, such as internet browsing, photo albums etc, so you don’t want to damage it accidentally, so I highly recommend all the Kindle users to use good (but light) covers like this one.
Happy Xmas!

I gave it 3 stars because I found the black rest for propping up the Kindle isnt very good and when its on the table it slides flat! Otherwise its fine for protecting my Kindle

A very functional and stylish case into which the kindle fire clicks snugly. The lid can then be folded over and secured with the elastic band to protect the screen, the most vulnerable part of the tablet, and provides a comfortingly ‘solid’ feeling. Most users will appreciate this important protective function, and I would give the cover full marks here. I am not so sure about the arrangement for making the lid into a stand. Unless it is on a rigid surface it is likely to collapse when the screen is touched (and that can happen anyway with rough treatment), and I wonder how long the lid will last if it is frequently folded back to make the stand. The kindle fire is heavier than its monochrome predecessor, but not so heavy that it cannot be held.
A four star rating overall.
