This is my first purchase in the Android world. I’ve always been a bit of an Apple fan but was becoming tired of the restrictions of Apple hardware and iOS.
I wont make this a review of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, there are thousands more qualified out there to do that. Suffice to say it is intuitive and a breath of fresh air.
So, the tablet. What can i say. I’ve only had it in my hands for a couple of days but i just cant fault it so far. The screen is as responsive as any any out there and the multitouch function has been great. I’m yet to try the HDMi out feature but as soon as i have ordered a cable i’ll be sure to update the review. I have successfully mounted both an external usb and micro SD card in seconds. Pop em in and android does the rest.
The performance is impressive too. I spent a couple of weeks trying other brand name tablets in the high street and was worried that perhaps this ‘budget’ unit would not match up to the big names. But it does, in every way. It came pre-installed with flash, you tube, facebook, and Google Play apps among others and they all work right out of the box. BBC iplayer and TVCatchup also work perfectly over my wireless network with no stuttering. HD playback looks crisp and smooth.
Battery life is good, i’ve used it on WiFi for several hours this morning and i still have 70% remaining. If you are a budding photographer the camera may not be what you are looking for but it is great for skype and like, the microphone also picks up well so your co-skyper can hear you clearly.
If you are worried about buying a ‘budget’ tablet from a company you are not familiar with. Dont. This tablet is budget only in price. The build is nice, i love the slightly rubberised back, and feels substantial. No creaking plastic like some of the Archos tablets i tried. It may not have 3g but who needs it. I’ve tethered it up to my iPhone with no problem.
The tablet comes installed with the company’s own support app with guides and how to’s and a link to their support desk. I’d recommend visiting their website to get a feel for the kind of company you are dealing with. I’ve had no problems but it reassuring to know that they are based in GB and not the other side of the globe.
So that’s it for now. I’ll probably update this in a couple of weeks when i have had more of a chance to really test it out but for now i will say that i am thoroughly happy with my purchase.

Bought this in Sept 2012 for my daughters 8th birthday on October 5th, and have already had to have the mains charger replaced once, then today 5th Nov 2012 I have had to contact them again as the tablet is not charging.Apart from this the gotab has everything my daughter wanted from a tablet,camera, apps, music,internet browsing & expandable memory. It was easy to set up the wi fi and was a good price and looks good,such a shame there is charger issues, if it wasn’t for that I would of given it a 5* rating.

|white screen,
had a replacement when i switched the tablet on, there was only a white screen with blue lines.
“white screen of death”. it shows these models are all faulty. how is it possible to have 2nd tablet faulty within 2 days.
iam not pleased with the service and the items, or electrical products from this company.
i think i should save up and go for another type of product.
