I bought this TV hoping that it would do everything it says it can, and I can say I am very pleased with it. The delivery was very quick as promised. The 2D experience is very good, it can be a bit dark for dark parts of programs and movies (or maybe I just watch really dark programs), but overall it is still a very good picture. The 3D experience, well I don’t have anything to compare it to, as this is the first 3D TV I have purchased and really ever seen before, but it has lived up to what I expected it to be. For £349.99… you can definately NOT go wrong with buying this TV. I would really recommend people buying this who are looking to upgrade to a 3D TV without paying a ridulous amount for one. Plus having 8 pairs of glasses means the whole family can enjoy the experience.

I must admit I was very unsure whether to purchase this television or not as it seemed to be to cheap for the description. Having received it in record time and installed it with ease, it has a brilliant picture, good sound and good looks too. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, from a satisfied customer.

Like most people we did a little research before purchasing this particular TV, we had never heard of Finlux so we were quite sceptical of the quality and price, obviously you can’t try before you buy so we had various trips to comet and curry’s to experience other 3DTV’s, and to find out the difference between passive and active 3D, the staff were always informative and helpful, and we almost bought a Tele at one point, however, as it was down to budget, we reverted back to the web for our purchase, after some deliberation and recent gained knowledge (from Sean at comet) we narrowed it down to 2 choices, the Finlux 42F701 LCD – £299.00 or the 42F7020-D LED – £349.00, we had learned that LED TV’s have sharper clarity and are cheaper to run so we bought the 42F7020-D, delivery was fast and set up very easy, we subscribed to Sky 3D channel and watched in awe as the clarity and quality is quite simply outstanding, however, there is one very annoying downside to be aware of, the more expensive LED TV does not have 2D to 3D up scaling, of coarse, after further scrutinising the description it doesn’t state that that is does, although the £50 cheaper LCD TV does have 2D to 3D up scaling, I know we only have ourselves to blame for not reading item descriptions properly before buying, but c’mon! If you upgrade your car to the next model you get the same spec as the base model but with the extras you pay for!!! Hence the reason for mentioning it in our review, for this reason we feel we can’t give it five stars but a well deserved four, In our opinion if you want a versatile 3D TV your better off with the cheaper LCD package, all in all we are happy with Amazon, Finlux the TV and the service. Just read item descriptions thoroughly and take nothing for granted..
