    A worthy upgrade…, 17 Oct 2012

Tanja “Freebird” R. (Planet Rock) –

    Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)

Just got mine this morning thanks to Amazon Prime after seeing it “in stock” yesterday.
Was a nice surprise considering most people seemed to think it’s not out until the 31st.
The 5th Gen iPod Touch is without a doubt, a worthy upgrade. About twice as fast as previous iPod Touches, so you will notice a significant difference in speed if you’ve had one of the older models.
I’ve had all revisions since the second gen and this one blows them all out of the water.
The display is amazing (same as the iPhone 5’s), the camera is VERY nice and much better than in old iPods (5MP for photos and you can film in 1080p!).
You’re pretty much getting the features of an iPhone 4S (inc. Siri!)
MINUS the phone function PLUS the new bigger and better screen.
I also really like what they have done with the shape, how light it is and that the back isn’t shiny anymore.
Definitely can recommend this. Yes, it may cost a bit more than the last gen but it IS worth it.
(Just for the record, I’m anything but an Apple Fangirl but credit needs to be given where it’s due 🙂 )

Much like the iPhone 4/4S generation, just without the phone!, 25 Sep 2012

I tried the “blue” model of this product at an Apple store in New York. Anyone that’s already got the iPhone 5 will agree with me in saying that the new 4-inch screen is brilliant, however I think iOS 6.1 should deal with the…large lock screen gap. However, putting that aside, the new iPod is brilliant. I had my iPod touch 4G with me and I compared speed etc. It’s SO much more faster (thoughI don’t think it’s hard to beat a 2-year-old heavily used iPod! :P)! I was a bit dissapointed with Siri as it only works over wi-fi, and some of the jokes had been removed. It’s a bit pointless, but it works.

The newish iOS 6 has it flaws, but it works well. The maps app is a shambles, which sucks…

    Absolutely brilliant!, 20 Oct 2012

This new iPod is going into the future of iPod gaming the screens bigger, the screens got a much better display than my old 3rd gen iPod, and the design looks great! I have the black one (the only one with a black front) and i have too say it looks amazing, though i got it from another store as Amazon does not currently sell the black version. The only issue is most apps so far have not updated their apps resolution size to a compatibility with the iPod 5G, don’t worry they still work, just means you have too play them a bit smaller like the size of a iPod 4G. But this new iPod is great, i wouldn’t go around with it without a silicone cover though and one more thing, just saying but if you take a video you notice its “full screen” but it can’t take “full screen” photos, which is strange i know 5 megapixel won’t be full screen 8 megapixel would, but still… that would mean the camera couldn’t take full screen videos, but oh well i don’t know.
