Paramount should be giving a big enema to Disney for this distribution!!!! Was going to order, but after seeing the special features…. I’ll go with getting it from America. It is Multi Region if anybody was wondering!!!

I couldn’t cancel me pre-order fast enough when I found out that most of the special features, including the commentary by Joss Whedon, won’t be on the UK release. If the superior US release ends up being region locked then we’ll have to hope that Disney, sat on top of it’s $1.4 billion is box office takings, sees fit to reward us with a double dip “special edition”.

Just learnt that some of the features and, more importantly, Joss Whedon’s commentary will not be on the disc despite having been previously advertised. So, pre-order cancelled. I’ll wait for the inevitable double-dip/special/collectors edition that will undoubtedly be along in the next six months. Sorry Disney, you’re not getting my money twice with a poor initial offering.
As for the film, I thought it was great. I’m a big Joss Whedon fan anyway (Buffy, Firefly/Serenity, Dollhouse etc) so was really looking forward to the commentary. Shame.
