Negatives first.
Shipment took more than a week. Postage from Singapore (?) via Sweden seemed a little slow. So if patience is not a virtue take note. The charging pin seems rather delicate. I can imagine someone ham fisted breaking the charging point, and it is not immediately obvious if the machine is charging or not.
Positives. > Build quality looks good. The back is solid and the overall feel is robust. > Ships with headphones and mini USB to USB cable which I don’t think is mentioned but good as I have bought a cover with integrated keyboard. > Speed is good. Pick Android 4 (ice cream) over older versions. My wife has an Archos tablet running Android 2.2. That is definitely slower (and feels more “plasticky”). Wi-fi set up took only long enough for me to enter my wi-fi password. It is shipped with a number of apps but downloading new ones is very easy via Google Play store. They automatically install once downloaded. The overall feel is quite “windows like” and very user friendly. > Dolphin browser is good fun – it is possible to search for web sites via speach recognition. Cool. > Don’t know if this is correct but my kids tell me Android has free versions of Angry birds that are payable on Apple. > Video quality seems good and does have a tinny speaker if wanted. > The touch screen works nicely and as intuitively as an iPad.
Please note it is no iPad but then again neither is the price. As a portable web enabled device it more than meets its purpose. Mine will be mostly used as an ebook. Don’t buy a Kindle Fire or Kobo Vox at a 50% premium – they only do what this does.

I ordered this tablet and it’s great only a few points that would make it outstanding!!! Firstly delivered on time, well packaged and the tracking was easy. The battery life could be much better, it seems to drain quite quickly if the apps are running the internet and I know its a new up to date system ICS and not all the apps have caught up and one’s you would like to have ‘state – not compatible with this software’. The wife love the e-reader (Kindle) and I would say why would you buy the Kindle for over £100 when this tablet gives so much more!!! For those who do decide to buy, when it arrives before you try to put on the screen protector view the Utube videos on how to do it!!! To sum it up its great value for money and the seller will give you support it you have any issues……….
After having the tablet for less than 30 days it became defective, i.e the mains charger or charging point are defective and after e-mailing the seller to replace the unit, he stated NO – will only repair?? Some customer service after several emails with this seller I have placed an A-Z claim with Amazon. If you buy a product it should be fit for purpose (I don’t call 30 days that)- I want a FULL refund, so its in the hands of Amazon. Sellers should recognise buyers make pay days possible!! After all my years with Amazon this is the poorest service or response ever!!!
I will update the review when the matter is sorted….. just beware buyers.
Update – Amazon have rejected an A-Z claim with no writtten reaons given, to which I have further appealed. If I product doesn’t work as a result of being DEFECTIVE and you have sent the product back to China ( so do I lose out on the monies paid for the product – , waiting for Amazon to answer that as well)- where is the buyers right to have a product fit for purpose??? I did have great belief in Amazon before this – ( shouldn’t they be on the side of the customer who make pay days possible?? -so we see how the appeal goes?? SO BEWARE !!! and the story continues…….
THE UPDATE : 11 July 2012 After an number of letters , e-mails and getting nowhere my total RESPECT goes out to the CEO of Amazon Mr Jeff Bezos who after communcation to him he has taken time out to help resolve the issue -for this is what I call OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE from the man at the top. It takes a big person to take that time out to help his customers!!!!!

I have had this tablet for only 2 hours. I have downloaded apps, installed internet and wireless printer. Opened and edited microsoft word documents with ease. Even my computer iliterate mum can use it with ease.
I absolutly believe it is 100% worth every penny and would highly recommend.
